Favourite quote is:
"Somewhere behind the athlete you've become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back... play for her."
TIM FORD- TRIATHLON EXTRAORDINAIRE
In 2010 Tim completed his first triathlon weighing in about 125kgs. It was a standard distance race (1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run). It took him 4:05 to complete it and he came dead last. Since then he has dropped over 50kgs and is working towards completing a 70.3 triathlon (1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21km run) in the same time.
Along the way he has multiple age group podiums including 3 age group wins. He has also raced at the 2016 70.3 World Championships this year on the Sunshine Coast. Tim has gone from running a half marathon in over 2 hours to cracking 80 minutes this year.
He is driven by constantly improving himself and showing people that if he can do it anyone can and he wants to try and bring as many new people to the sport as possible.
'Hard work trumps talent everyday so work at it and you will be rewarded. Also not to neglect your weaknesses. The sooner you can address them and improve the sooner they will become your strengths'
JADE RUSSELL- IFBB BIKINI ATHLETE
After admiring bikini athletes on social media for years Jade finished university and decided to put her dreams into action.
After finishing her first season competing in 3 shows in 2 different federations she came away with 3 first places 1 over all title, and 1 national title. Also a 2nd place at the IFBB Nationals narrowly missing a chance to compete for her pro card!
There is nothing more satisfying then proving all the negative self talk wrong. It’s not about other people saying you couldn’t do it, it’s always been about proving the girl in the mirror who said it couldn’t be done wrong and showing people that you are capable of anything you put your mind to!
Along the way I realised it’s all about accepting your flaws and working every damn day to make sure what you make of yourself is something you are proud of.
Mediocrity is what I fear most and I swear I will never look back and say I led a mediocre life, chase down what you want in life and do not apologise for your dreams.
